my old english professor is online. someday i'm going to call him. ring him up with a video chat. there are two options:

1) he will answer. i will be thoroughly weirded out. i'll give him a blank stare for a few seconds and then hang up.

2) he won't answer. in that case i'll just have to try again next time he's online.
